We’ ask you to let us know as soon as possible so that we can advise which class is best for you going forward, for us to have a chat about training during pregnancy generally – after all pole can run a higher risk than other forms of exercise, and for us to touch base with our pregnancy PARQ. If you are postnatal, please chat to us before signing up to classes. I feel anxious and worried about looking foolish. We all recall the apprehension from our initial pole class. While some students opt for a couple of private lessons beforehand, it's not necessary. Fortunately, we have a fantastic community of students who will support and encourage you, ensuring you have a great time in our class. What if I'm not strong enough? This is a common concern we hear. Starting pole doesn't require any prior strength or flexibility. We tailor each exercise to your individual capabilities. Soon enough, you'll notice your strength improving, and you'll find yourself wishing you had started sooner. What should I wear/bring with me? To perform certain moves like pole sits, skin grip is necessary. However, your comfort is our priority. You can wear standard gym attire, opting for shorts if you're at ease or leggings that can be rolled above your knees, along with a supportive sports bra. Footwear is either barefoot or wear socks, (except for the sexy pole class, where we recommend pole-specific dance heels and kneepads). Equipment-wise, kindly bring a small cloth to wipe down the equipment after use, as you will be sharing a pole with another student. Your cooperation in maintaining cleanliness is greatly appreciated. Do you have changing rooms? In CRPD Newport, yes, In CRPD Cardiff there isn't a dedicated changing space, but the toilets are located just outside of our studio. What's the parking situation? Full location and parking information can be found on the relevant studio page.

Seeking to rediscover myself, I delved into the art of 'pole fitness', and little did I know that this journey would unfold into a seven-year-long love affair with the pole.
